"Master Class," written by Terrence McNally, is a two-act play inspired by the real-life master classes conducted by the renowned opera singer Maria Callas at the Juilliard School of Music in the early 1970s. The play debuted in 1995 and has since been celebrated for its insightful portrayal of Callas, who is depicted as both a brilliant artist and a deeply flawed individual.
